SAIGE is offering a limited number of scholarships for Native college students to attend the 2018 Training Program,”Sovereignty, Trust and Resilience,” June 11-14, 2018 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The scholarships will include conference registration fee, airfare and hotel accommodations.
The Youth Program is open to Native Students between the ages of 18 and 25 who demonstrate they are currently enrolled in good standing at an accredited high school, college or university. Students must be interested in gaining a professional degree and in the possibility of pursuing a career with the federal government. SAIGE invites American Indian/Alaska Native students to submit their application form, letter of reference, proof of school enrollment, and completed emergency medical information form for consideration to attend the conference. A short essay about their interest in government careers and information about themselves is also required.

This Awards program is open to all military personnel, DoD civilian and government employees who are veterans. Due date for submissions is 6 April 2018. SAIGE Board Election Instructions
All Lifetime members, and full and student members in good standing may vote in this election. Your dues must be current as of December 10, 2017, in order for your vote to be counted. If you are unsure if your dues are current, contact Phil Hamel at Secretary@saige.org.
There are two Officer and five Board Directors to be elected this year. It is with great appreciation that we list the individuals who have accepted their nomination and are willing to serve if elected.
The Officer positions will be filled by the persons who are listed on the ballot. Director positions will be filled by the nominees who receive the most votes in the Director category until all vacant Director positions are filled. No write-in candidates will be accepted.
NOTE: It is very important to state your full name and location when you email the ballot, if not, your ballot will not be counted. The submitted ballots will be checked against the SAIGE membership list. The results will be compiled and reported to the Board. Upon the Board’s approval, the results will be reported to all members at SAIGE-L along with an announcement posted on our web site. If you have any questions, please contact the Elections Committee Chair at elections@saige.org.
To Vote: Using the ballot sent to you, put an X by the candidate that you wish to elect, save the file and forward it electronically to the Elections Committee. Please vote for only one person for each officer position and a maximum of 5 people for the Board Director at large positions.
