Chair, Board of Directors
Fredericka is an enrolled member of the Kaw Nation of Oklahoma. She currently serves as the Chair, Board of Directors. As a Founding Board Member her first position was Secretary, maintaining the records of the organization including the minutes of all Board and planning meetings, and the SAIGE membership lists. Freddie assisted leadership by attending meetings in the Washington, D.C. area whenever there was a need.
Fredericka began her federal career 32 years ago and eventually served as a Special Emphasis Program Manager. Having had extensive training in this area exposed her to the rich diversity that contributed to the workplace. She helped in providing training opportunities for career workers, enabling her to help with the National training in the professional/personal career training and EEO/HR tracks at SAIGE trainings. Serving as the Chair she will ensure training is provided at all levels for career workers from our junior level employees to those at the higher graded structures. Freddie will continue to develop working relationships with Federal agencies and ensure SAIGE is included and considered as a resource for agencies considering hiring, retention, and promotion of American Indian and Alaska Native employees. She will continue to teach awareness to agencies of American Indians and Alaska Natives and how they can benefit their workplaces.
During this term she formed a committee to update the Strategic Plan to serve as a working document helping SAIGE interact with our Federal partners. She is initiating a succession plan that will place SAIGE on a successful path for the future. Fredericka has a strong commitment and dedication to SAIGE. If re-elected she will continue to develop strategies that will enhance and keep SAIGE moving forward as the credible organization it has become to be known.
